When I push start my YTM-200E(on gear), sometimes the engine turns and sometimes it don't. What is the problem?

Turns over or runs? If it is not turning over what gear are you puching it in? 5th is most effective. If you are talking about firing, you need to first figure out whether it is getting a good spark or not before chasing fuel problems.

You didn't post what machine you have. But here is a little general info:
On centrifical clutch models they have a part called "bearing-one way". This part will grip when turned going one way and it will slip when going the other way. If your motor spins over some times and don't other times then most likely this part has gone bad.

If you post what Yamaha you have I will try to get you a picture of the possible problem area.

Hope this helps.

Howdy....

Look in your "quote" you posted. I think it might be a YTM200E and from his signature, a 1984. :D

It's not the 200E, but the YTM-200 1983. I tried on all five gears.
Is the one way bearing on this picture?

Yes, #19 is the part that would be going bad. They say to replace Part #18 also.
