I decided to sell my SX guys. :( Since I restored my 87 Big Red, it hasnt gotten much attention. My wife intended on riding it, but we have a 11 month old that cant get too far from her mom. So that put the dampers on that. Oh well I still have the 87 and 85 Big Red and 85 ATC 70. My wife and I both wont to get a dirt bike. Im looking at a 85 Honda XR500R thats in premo shape. It may be a little much for her, but who cares. LOL. I have the need for a little more speed. Im selling the trike on Ebay if you guys wont to see it. Well if your selling then you don't mind me saying that an 85 sx had black fork boots.
Those blue ones make the bike look like......well different.
But anyway you don't care your selling
my 2 cents
good luck

That looks so new. BTW, you don't hear too often of the husband selling off his wife's stuff. Its usually the other way around.

thats sooo ture geezer. Let me tell you something Sxyryan, you want a 250sx not a 225dx. It took me a very long time to get my 250sx's, be patient and keep looking, a 250sx will find its way into your hands.

well, in truth, i want any threewheeler thats big enough for me. (im a little on the heavy side) i just want electric start and reverse would be nice. thats why i kind of narrowed down my "wish list" to the 250sx and the 225dx. i have ridden a 225dx and i really liked it but i dont have anyway to try out any other models. i have also looked at big reds, but i wanted to know if they are decent for trail riding or if they are to slow to really be any use other than doing some work.

I have both a SX and Big Red ES 87 model sitting in my garage right now. Im 6'3 280 lbs. I do fine on both. The SX is slightly quicker than the Big Red. The SX is great everywhere I have ridden. I have riddent it 5hrs staight before. However, I had the impression that the Big Red would be big and cumbersom and slower. That is not the case. I love my Big Red. Absolutely love it. Hince why I sold the SX yesterday. The Big Red has plenty power, especially with the new Cobra Exhaust I put on it. It hadles great. Its not quite as nimble as the SX, but the comfort and roomieness is worth it. It cant be much if any slower than a SX maybe 5mph top end. Especially with the aftermarket exhaust. If you wont comfort and power I would go for the Big Red. The only thing I didnt like about the Big Red was the hanlebars. I ended up putting SX bars on it and rolling them forward a bit. Spreads my weight out better, giving me more control. I can ride a wheelie just as far on it as my SX. I was always scared I was going to break something on the SX, but not the Big Red. Feels much tougher. Thats my 2 cents.

thanks alot. around where i live (western pa) it seems like its easier to find big reds for sale. i do love speed but i have my warrior its pretty fast. i like to have a big comfy seat so maybe the big red is right for me.
