A flywheel puller for a B model Tecate? I have finally gotten around to rebuilding my 86 t-3. Got the motor out and top end off. Gonna need to replace the crank seals so need to get the flywheel off. I remember several people saying not to tap the flywheel w/ a hammer to get it off b/c the magnets will come un-glued. So, where can I get the proper puller for the t-3?
Thanks,
Whiteman

If memory serves me correctly the puller is the same one Honda uses for the later model 110's, 125m, 185, 185s, 200, 200s, and other machines. Some one correct me if I am wrong.

If the T3 has a stock flywheel or a Rickey Stator you can use a normal Cheep gear puller. I use a flat 3 bolt adjustable gear puller, I think it might be a 3 bolt stearing wheel puller if I remember rite. You need to play w/ the bolts to make sure it has enuff threads into the flywheel but not into the stator, but it works great. If you have a KX type ignition you need to get a actuall pulled from a shop or Dennis Kirk.
You are correct DON'T hit it w/ a hammer LOL. Tecates have enuff ignition trobles w/o hammers. Any question feel free to ask.
GOOD LUCK
