Color 4 a 85 ATC250r swingarm?

Hey Everybody! I have kinda a strange question.I bought a 85 ATC250R a few weeks ago and im torn between what color i should paint my swingarm.The owner before me had the frame painted white, the hubs and swingarm painted blue..Well i've sandblasted eveything and painted the frame and hubs stock honda red,But i have no idea what to do with the swingarm..I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction..I hope this pic will help...THANKS :beer

Personally, I would paint it silver, or go red. Just my opinion though. It also depends on your rim color. I like it when the rims and swingarm, and a few other little things match. ;)

Yeah i was thinking red,but i thought it might clash..I got new CR handlebars coming and a new paulturner pipe..It should be looking good soon if i could figure out this swingarm problem hehe...............

I was having the same problem when I repainted my frame. I did a white frame. I finally decided to chrome my swingarm. I think that some sort of silver or gun-metal gray would look good. Good luck.

I did a post similar to this on .org. I wanted to see everyones swingers and colors. It gives you a good idea what they look like. I thought the grey my hubby chose was a rotten idea, till I actually saw it on. I went with grey. anyway I can find that thread if you like. but for now here is mine.....

Personally, I like the Honda gold on the stock 85R. You don't see too many trikes or quads with a gold swingarm and gold anodized rims. The only thing I don't like about Honda's color scheme is the seat. I think all seats should be black since most of the blue ones end up with black stains over the years anyway. If the seats where black, you'd never see the discoloration!

What's wrong with the gold? When I replaced my swingarm with a new stock one recently, I wanted to repaint the linkage at the same time. I found a hammertone gold at the hardware store that closely matched the swingarm. If I was repainting the arm, I think I would go with that.

Here is the thread, it has alot of different swingarm colors for you to look at. It was very helpful. I know alot of folks like gold or like to stay stock. But this trike is mine. I didnt like gold. I had thought long and hard with gold, but it just wasnt me. I set the trike up for my tastes, and thats were you wanna be. Yes Tecateman...she will be at florence. Anyway the link
