as many from trikefest know i dropped my 85 tri-z jug off to the dealership for a bore job. i dropped it off on may 6th. i told them i had to have it before june 1st. no problem they said. 4-5 days turn around time. i figured ok two weeks. i called two weeks later to the day. still not ready. they said they are having trouble finding a piston. ????? ok just remember i am bringing this bike with me to trikefest. call back again. should be here any day. again i said dont forget i am going away. no problem. saturday may 29th i drive there to give them hell. i hit a police seatbelt check. got my ticket (i never wear my belt) and drive down the road to the dealership. they are closed!!!!! three day weekend for the workers. so i go there on tuesday june 1st the day before we leave for trikefest!!!! where is my jug!!!!! it should be here at 11:30. well it didnt show. i called today and now they cant find it!!!!! i am losing my patience very fast. i do buisness with them often.200xman has bought a quad, tons of parts, helmets, gear, and a lawnmower. but they dont seem to want to follow through on my jug. if it wasnt the ported jug and my good head i would tell them to keep it and shove it up the butt!!!!!! :Evil

unfortunitly i could go to the kawasaki dealer down the raod but they screwed up a simple bore there too. plus the pissed on 200xman a little. so i refuse to got here. i may be sending my jugs out from now on. anyone know a good place lol later

It may be because its a Yamaha cylinder at a Honda dealership? LOL j/k Have you tried your local Napa? They will bore it for $30, half the price of the dealers.

Im 1 1/2 hours drive from Wiseco. Normally about a 3 day turnaround, and they have about every piston in stock. Last time I needed a Z piston kit in a hurry, I drove up and picked it up along with wrist pin bearings. And I get the peace of mind of knowing it was done right. More expensive? Maybe. Is it worth it? Yep.

I just use a local machine shop, they are expensive ($75 for 2 stroke jug) but it is always done in 1 day. It is the best machine shop in my area so I know it will be done perfect.

I had a machinest in my town I used for everything (trikes, quads, automotive, ect) but he had a stroke and can't work anymore...so I go to Don now which is the machinest at the NAPA store in town. He's a bit slow but he gets the job done and done right which is the important part.

hey mike, fun wheels on 112 does their cylinder boring in house. if you have the piston it's a 1 day turn around.
also there is a machine shop in centereach that also does it same day. alot cheaper then fun wheels.

that is crazy!!

I took my 86 tri-z jug to MOTO-MAN in Canton Mi, I dropped off the jugg on monday, caled wednesday it was back and they were waiting on the topend kit to come in. I just waited until the next monday and picked eveything up. the bore job only cost 50 bucks. I will never deal with a stealership on anywork or parts unless its a dealer item only...

well i just went there. this time he said tomorrow. they say the person who they send the machine work too had a death in the family and went on vacation. for two god damn months!!!!!!!! i am going to change professons if they make that much!!!!!! only good news so far is they will only charghe me there cost. i am still not happy but it could be worse. i saw an 85-86 250r atc in the back with the top end off. i asked what was up with it. they are doing the top end themselves. thank god i only brought the jug and head. it is a lot easier to leave the jug and head behind and never do business with them then have a complete bike there!!!!!! hope they do a better job on his. i did mention to the guy behind the counter. if it was a honda i would have had it back sooner. but seeing how it was a yamaha they got scared of it and decide to keep a tri-z out of commision till a few of the 450r sold lol because they knew the Z would smoke them !!!!!1 :Bounce
