who can help?

i have this 84 250r that i'm in the process of restoring, but i cant get the kicker to work unless i have it tipped all of the way onto it's left side. so could somebody please tell me what they think? Also could a kind soul scan the kicker assembly page in the owners manual for this bike?

It sounds like the spring behind the ratchet gear broke. I used to have a 84 R, but now have a 86. Its a pretty easy fix.

i had the same problem on my 84 250R, my old engine anyways....you are gonna have to really tear it down.....split the base...i have the manual....but i dont have a scanner, i tried taking some pics with digital camera, i dont know if they will help at all but it shows the kicker assembly
