I have a 125 trimoto. I was having problems, where if I turned the handlebars the engine would accelerate. So I assumed that it was with the throttle cable, so I replaced them, both upper and lower. Now I'm having problems where the engine just races automatically. Once I start the bike its like at full throttle. I took a look at the carb and nothing seems to be stuck. The slide is working perfectly. I cleaned the carb out completely. I've adjusted the idle and the air adjuster, and they have no effect. Is this still a carb problem? Is there possibly just a jet that I missed when cleaning? I can't believe its the throttle cables anymore, because I can visually see that when I give the bike some throttle the slide in the carb goes all the way up and all the back down to where it should be, smoothly. What could the problem be??? Please help, I want to get this thing out of my garage and back on the trails!

Adjust your cable with the correct freeplay. There should be some. Check for vacum leaks around the carb maybe its running lean. Idle screw should also be adjusted. Did you poke out your jets with wire?

Check the path of your throttle cable. I had one that I routed incorrectly and it was always pulling on the slide since there was not enough slack. Also make sure your slide is in correctly, it could need to be turned 180 so that the notches are lined up properly.

yeah I am about 95% sure that your carb is in backwards. Just turn it 180 degrees like TheOlderFox said.
