Z stock main jet size?

What is the stock main jet size for the 85 z? 460 or 470? with dg exhaust and reeds what should i be running 470? when i start it now it revs up realy HIGH and dont stop like the motor is going to explode. I pulled the carb and their is a 330 main jet in their now. What is my problem i don't dare to try and start it again. It has reved up the last 2 times i tried starting it. :(

470 is standard. i am running a 580 in my Z. i have an LRD top end exhaust boyseen reeds,no airbox just a k&n with outer wear off the back of the carb. it was on its second bore too. not sure if this would help. did you ever clean your carb? could be cruded up. not a big carb man myself but am still learning too good luck

so should i go with 480 with my pipe and reeds. i have 330 now and that's to small.

i would try a larger jet. i found out it is better to be richer then lean. i rode my Z with too small of a jet.smoked that piston in less then 3 rides. keep checking the plug. also hopefully other will respond to your post and say what they are running in there Z.

if it keeps reving higher and higher, it sounds like it's sucking air. maybe a seal or a cracked and leaking intake boot.
