View Full Version : Hopefully my last problem!! I ask for help again.

ok i finally got it to run but now it wont move, just great!!Now keep in mind I had to replace the side case. behind the oil cover. Was there anything special about putting the shifter shaft back in? I can move the shifter up and down but the little neutral indicater is not moving at all. But it sounds like its going in gear. I had to take the clutch off also was there anything special about that? I just want to push it in the creek and be done with it!

For shits and giggles, check the simple thing, which is to make sure the secondary gearbox (High-Low range) is completely into one or the other, and not stuck inbetween (Neutral)

What does it do. Does the engine rev and the bike go no where. or does the engine rev and kinda lug down like HUUUUUUU. Have you tried rocking it back and forth. Sometimes this will help. More info. You do have to be carefully putting the clutch back in. Im not a pro at it but did it once and had to take the cover off and put it back on a few times before everthing seated right.

I can be on it and hold the throttle half open and move the gear shifter up and down and move the hi-low back and forth and it just doesnt do anything. I dont get it though cause it sound just like its going in gear but it wont move. Almost like the transmission is going in gear but there is no power to it?

Alright I have a new theory could there be something wrong with the way i put the shifter shaft back in cause i think its moving but not engaging the tranny. What do you fellas think?
