read your other post before you go wasting your $ on stuff that will not fix your problems.repairing trikes should not be a guessing game, if you diagnos the problem the first time, you will be happier in the end

the owner suggested it may be the coil not me , read my other post n find out why i thought it might be stator/flywheel and coil

it really sounds like a compression or a carb/reed problem...when it's the stator it will either start and run like $h!t or it wont start at all...i had one stator go out on me and it would still make a timing light light up, but as soon as i got a new stator in it it ran perfect...get it, invest a couple hundered in it and have a sick bike

new rings is a start. electrical stuff is usually pretty consistent...it either works or it doesn't. normally as a coil heats up it then goes bad, if it was bad cold it would never get running, oh any coil, stater, cdi and flywheel for 84-87 tecates interchange also 87-88 tecate 4 have these same parts. have you ever ridden a 2 stroke ? what about a trike? if not make sure you have good insurance...you will get hurt

yea, if this is your first trike, take it easy and get usedto it, these bikes have enough power to flip themselves right over backwards with the rider on them...

Well just a FYI for you.....you can never have too many electrical parts for a tecate. If they will work snag them up and keep them for spares. Lord knows you will need them in the near future..........peace

That Tecate is going to be faster than the banshee unless the banshee is built. That and the fact that it's a 3 wheeler mean you need to take the advice given here and be careful. I said the same crap as you before I broke my collar bone......I had ridden all kinds of little trikes too.....lol
