I let one of my buddy borrow my YTM ,and not knowing much about mecanik he overheated the air-cooled engine a bit, which caused the plastic drum inside the pull start to warp and split in two. I checked bikebandits and the OEM part is worth 19$. Being in Canada and not wanting to wait so long, I called the nearest YAM dealer and he wants 76$ for the same part. (its the plastic wheel that the rope rolls around inside the pull start) After callin an other dealer I got the same 76$. Why is the price difference so BIG??? I understand the price change from American to Canadian,,, but not 50 $ more!

Well i guess my best bet is to order from bikebandit and wait for the shipping delay.

I just ordered a little spacer from bike bandit but I'm not holding my breath for it to get here. It's just the easiest way to find the part. I hate bikebandit's shipping. I've NEVER gotten parts in under 2 weeks! I don't know what they smoke over there but I usually just keep calling if I don't get a "shipped" notice within the first week. I'm not even sure they have a warehouse--might just be a middle man. Good luck.
