just a did a couple week road trip through Baja. From the top to the bottom.
The further south you went, the more trikes there were. South of La Paz is where the most seemed to be concentrated. A small town names Los Barriles they may have even out numbered quads. Most old americans living in RV's.
They almost all had utility trikes.
there was a near mint '87 Big Red, I sparked up a conversation w/ the owner. They bought it NEW in '91 down at the Los Cabos Honda dealer. Said they figured once th ban set in, honda dumped them all on the south of the boarder dealers.
I eventually made it to the dealer, and asked about the trikes. Said early 90's is when they sold their last ones. They didn't seak english too well, and my spanish isn't good enough to get details (like were there any '87 250r's?)
You could ride absolutely ANYWHERE. beaches, dunes, desert. I wish I had brought mine.
