Is my clutch gone?

I have a 200x which I love to ride, but know little about. While riding with a friend( who also has the same trike), his quit on him. Being a good buddy, I tied him off to my bike and attempted to pull him down a blacktop road. Bad move, because abruptly, my gears were gone and we were both stranded. I know how expensive it can be to take her to a dealer for repairs. I am hoping somebody out here has any suggestions or ideas. thanks alot!

What exactly is it doing when you try and crank it up and shift into gear? Any kind of noises?

Jack up your back end and see if you engine turns the wheels without any load on them and doesn't make any odd sounds. If they move, but nothing when on the ground, there is a good chance your clutch was just hanging on. Make sure to first check the clutch adusjtment.
