Who, besides Durablue, makes a rear axle for the '85 ATC250R? It's time for a new one, and I want to know all my options.

I puchased a Lonestar Xcaliber axle for my 86R off ebay, saved about a hundred dollors by going through ebay. The Lonstar axles come with a lifetime warranty. I supplied a pic of mine at the bottom.

the 86 and 85 axles are not the same you either need the 85 axle or a complete 86 swing arm and the work's for a 86 axle.

That's the rub. I want to know if ANYBODY makes an axle for the '85 besides Durablue.

When I destroyed certian things in changing out my bearings last fall, I looked into this. From what I found there was nothing but like 1 company for each thing, carrier, axle, and others things when it came to the 85 R. But if I searched for the 86, the door opened WIDE. The problem and I understand where you coming from is the complete changeover of the rearend. That gets extremely expensive. If you do find other companies please post. But I had little luck.

thats the reason I changed my swingarm to a 86 also, the bearings in the carrier were on there way out and I had a 86 trx swinger, new carrier, everything, so I put that on, knowing that I won't have a problem in atleast 10 years in getting replacement swinger/axle parts, as there are tons of 86-89 250r's out there and most of the aftermarket swingers use 86-89 250r stuff, you can even get a, aftermarket rear caliper. If you can afford it, switch it to a 86..

Well I guess I go with the Durablue then, unless I see an NOS Honda axle on eBay for less than the Durablue. The original has been a great axle(never bent), but I like the finish on the Eliminator. Thanks for your replies.
