250es Shock Question?

Gday,

I got the shock apart on my 250es so i can paint her up but i noticed that when you push the chrome rod in that goes into the main part it is really easy, pulling it out is hard but going in is really easy. Is this how its supposed to be or is it stuffed?

Sounds about right. The spring stops the machine from going down too fast and the shock is there to stop it from bouncing back too quickly. If the shock had no resistance on the rebound your trike would bounce up and down like a yoyo. Sounds like by the time you are done with your project you will know just about everything there is to know about our big reds. Good luck with it and keep us informed.
