White tank for 250R 85-86??

Can you buy a white tank for an 85-86 250R? And still keep the shrouds?
I think an all white 250R would be sweet.

Not that im aware of. Black or red is all I've ever seen. Talk to chainsaw about getting one painted (I know, your saying the paint will not stay) Chainsaw had one painted black and said he had no problems at all, he said by a product called Kreem that is made to coat the inside of rusted steal tanks, he said that it will stick to the plastic and seal off any fuel vapors from passing through the plastic that harm your paint. It is spelled Clarke. I just looked in Rocky Mtn atv and they didn't list any. IMS also builds aftermarket tanks they only have a red one listed.

I'm not into painting a tank myself that why I choose the color scheme I have on my R.

Derrick Adams, that is NOT a 250R gas tank. It's a CR500.

here is a buddys 250R. He just bought the white tank. its oversize though, so it does not look quite like the original.

You can get a white tank, but the only one offered is the oversized version that 250SX posted. They don't make a standard size white tank.
