Cant keep air filter on!

I bought a brand new uni air filter but it keeps slipping off anyone know how to fix this? I washed all the grease off of the lip of the filter but it still seems to want to come off.

The grease is important as it acts like a barrier to dust and dirt there put it back. You didn't say what kind of bike you have so make sure that the holding screw(s) are actually in place and tight. Sometimes you may think its tight when you aren't actually. You are using the mounting screws right?
