I'm not sure if my gage is messed up or not, but my bone stock 85 tri-z is reading at 180psi cold when I kick it over. I also had a head modified and put it on my other tri-z and that is reading 220psi cold cranking pressure. I though it was a bit high that is why I checked with the stocker to see how raised it was. What I can't believe is that the stock tri-z has 180psi cold cranking pressure. I would like to know if anyone else has given there tri-z this test and what they came up with. Cause I hope it is the gage that is messed up or I'm going to be spending a lot of money on race gas for my other Z. Any info will help.

Thanks denn

Nobody has ever put a compression gauge to a stock tri-z before? You gotta be kidding me. This board is getting worse and worse.

On an engine with a .010 over Wiseco Pro-lite piston and fresh(well, 5 hours on the bore) bore, I had 175PSI cold.Never done a hot test, because I refuse to because the head is aluminum and I don't want to mess up the threads.
