My stator on my 85 tecate just went out and in the process of getting a new one but, every time I order one it comes to me smaller than the one that was in it!(like 3 times this happened?) Then my parts guy was looking on micro-fische and found that the wireing plug on my stator matched that of a T-4's stator so he thinks that someone put a T-4 stator in this 85 T-3!! Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this or not or even if this is possible or not?? My parts guy thinks that someone would do this to allow it to rev faster?? And also its alot lighter!!!
