Anybody have one on their trike? I put that 40 inch axle on the aircooled and the chain is to loose, I can't take out another link with it being to short. Anyone have pic of one mounted. where do you get them. thanks

i got what catfishwhisker and waterpumper said is a oldschool one, i wasnt sure, but i know they dont make then anymore, i got it brand new in the bag off ebay for a deal, i havent had 1 chain falloff or messup since i've had it (on my 85 R).... here's a link to a pic of it, if i could take a newer/better picture for you i would,, but you get the idea http://www.geocities.com/jared_towne2767/250Rleftside.jpg

Thats one thing Honda could have learned from Yamaha. The Yammies use a plastic chain guide setup (not a tensioner) and its very rare to hear of problems of Yamahas throwing chains. There are a few different aftermarket companies that make a universal type chain guide that you have to figure out where and how to mount.

WOuld that be the guide that is on this swingarm?

(I will post a pict of the painted swingarm too, but guide isnt on yet. :)

Here's my chain tensioner. originally NOS for a 82ish 250r I modified it to fit my 200x. It was kind of a necessity with the extra links in the chain. With a 200x when you put weight on the bike the chain gets tighter, well, this thing fixed it right up. no more woring about the chain being too tight.
