it has to be tri-z i guess because i looked on the specs pages for yamaha on the main site and there was only the tri-z as a 250

I don't know how easy it will be to find an engine for a tri-z. That's definately not a beginners bike. Also, remember that it is a 2 stroke, so you have to have 2 cycle oil in the gas.

Mmm....do you know if the trike you're going to pick up is manual-clutch? If so, that's probably a Tri-Z....if not, maybe you just did a mistake saying 250 instead of 200, thats what i thought....well, get some pics!!

that is not a beginner bike for sure, you need some experience, motor will be a kick in the nuts to fine , but you will find one here for sure one of these days, but it's gonna cost you

I have a whole garage full of YTM225DX/DR parts up here. 3 motors, 2 complete rear ends, gas tanks, wiring harness, headlights, etc.... anything you would need except starters, triple trees, handle bars, brake cables and motor mounts.

Honda made the 200X. Its might be a Yamahauler or 225DX like the others mentioned. I see your from Tallahassee? I'm from over in the Live Oak area. I have family that lives in St. Marks if you know where thats at.

wow thats neat, i talked to my friend he said it was a yamaha 200x....
hmm, i found a yamaha 200x, whats the dif. between a yamahauler?
Billy Golightly
05-10-2004, 05:39 PM
Big difference between the Honda 200X and the yamahauler. Does it have a fat front tire? If it does, chances are its not a 200x.

what do you guys think os a yamaha 200?
cliff2302
05-11-2004, 04:05 PM
find out what it is before we tell you what we think about it. yamaha didn't make a 200. once you have it in your posession, look at the tag on the steering stem of the frame and it should tell you what it is. or just post a picture of it. its useless to tell you he good points/ bad points, what parts we have and how much they are when you dont know what kinda trike you have. good luck
Look behind the the headlight on the steerer stem. There should be a identification sticker there.
Payed $50 dollars, had alot of good parts for my 1985 225 dxn :Bounce .

yamaha didn't make a 200.
They did, but it just wasn't a 200x. They made a regular YTM200, and the Yamahauler.
