1984 atc 200x motor

I have a question about a 1984 atc 200x. What is the newest motor, of the same size that would bolt right into the frame?

You know what, I saw some chinese enduro on e-bay with a honda engine in it, and was looking at it. It sure looks damn close. It would be cool if it worked. It kicks the wrong way, but it has elecric start.

the engine in that enduro could be an xr200 maybe? did they have electric start?

Didn't the xr 200 engine come in the 86-87 200x? Besides this engine has a 5-speed trans. I'm sure the xr has a 6 speed.

Would the XR 200 Motor fit the 84 200x frame, or would I need to modify the frame? Thanks again for all the help. :D

they are the same motor just 6 gears and you have to change the kickstarter to kick forward.

How hard is it to change the kick starter to kick forward on these motors?

86-87 200xs had 6 speed transmissions. You could maby even fit a 250cc motor in there. Maby a cr :Bounce

they are east to change if you have a 200x kickstart assembly

a buddy of mine has a 78 xl250, and the motor looks like it might almost bolt into a 200x
