1986 ATC250SX with no brakes...that was a little hairy for me.

About a year later, I traded my brother my XR100R for his near-mint 1987 250SX (yes, he had 2 of them) and owned that for a little over 4 years before selling it to a friend.

My buddy's Honda ATC 110. I'm guessing it was a 1981 model. He bought it brand new and I got to ride it the first day he owned it. I hadn't ever driven one and was scared to death about crashing into something wiith his new baby.

My first was a brand new 1985 250SX that was my uncles and he still has the trike. This was my only experiance to ride a brand new trike. He literally just picked it up from the dealer and came to my house with it and let me at it (What fun!). I still get to ride this trike from time to time and try to buy it from him but he won't let go of it.

My first ride was on my bro's brand new 1975 Honda 90, then the following year my dad bought me an brand new ATC 70 in 1976. I still remember the feeling I had when I came in from school and it was sitting there under the carport I knew right away it was mine, I wish she was still around, it would be neat to beable to buy back my first trike, I put that poor little thing through he11.

The first three wheeler I ever rode was a ATC90...
soon afterward I sold my HO scale train set and used the money to buy my first three wheeler, a 1973 ATC70 for $300 in 1976. It was flawless. I sold it 4 years later for the same amount. :( Hindsight is 20/20.

My first trike was an 1982 Honda ATC250r. I traded my older brother for it. Took about three days of riding it in my driveway before I got the nerve to take into the hills. Still wish I had that thing. Now I ride an 1985 Honda 250es and a 1981 Honda ATC250r.. not quite the same as my old 82 but a real close second.

The first I rode was a late 70's ATC90. Shortly thereafter, my first machine was a 2-year-old '82 110. I had polished Mitchell wheels on it and was the nicest looking 110 around here. Sold it...dumb,dumb,dumb.

Also an 83 200. Smoked like crazy, drank oil by the quart, no brakes, no seat(used a pillow), no recoil (used a rope with a piece of wood for a handle), one 25x12x9 on the rear & (2) 22x11x8 on the front and other side, busted up fenders, one rear wheel rusted through(tire was a Turf Buster so it held w/o air just fine).....but I was in extacy every time I rode it. :beer
I remember one time I was doing donuts and watched the rear brake shoes&drum come off in pieces falling to the ground. :wondering

IMO and from my experience anyway, those plain 200's are a blast because their so big and hard to control and a rough ride, but thats what makes them fun. you have to work to ride them, not just sit there on a quad like a statue. at least thats how i remember mine.:wondering
that thing when great in the mud with the wooly boggers. all the fun times i had on my old 200.

The first one was a 1981 200s that my dad still has and uses daily. it suprisingly still looks good minus the jb weld on the tank and the muffler dang near rusted off. But it runs prime and is still fun just seems a bit smaller sitting on it than I remember.

The first was a 1978 ATC 70 in 1984 that I got for the girlfriends boy. At 200+lbs I'm sure that I looked stupid as Hell. Then for me it was 20 yrs of 4 wheelers till I got sick of them and now its all about the trikes.

!985 Tri Z 250. Neighbor bought it new from local dealer. It was about a week old when he told me you start it you can ride it. I had both feet and the kicker and I jumped and the dahm thing started. He let me take it around the lawn a few times in first gear. I thought I was such a bad as@. I was 7 years old.
