do I need a new atc 70 cylinder?

Hi,
I have torn my boy's atc 70 apart due to excessive oil smoke and plug fouling. The cylinder and piston are somewhat scored. How do I tell if I need to replace the piston and cylinder? I am hoping to get away with just honing and new rings. Thanks!

measure the piston to bore clearance,, if its several years old,,,probably time to bore it and put a new piston in ,,,, you won't regret it ,, it will last for years then,,,,
