Timing chain 350X help

I cant get the timing chain on! Its so freakin tight I dont know what to do now?

Any tips?

stupid question, but it needs to be asked. did you take off the timing chain tensioner?

You also have to take off the top sprocket to get it on. Did you do that?

Yeah I got it fixed, thanks for the reply. I was trying to ride the chain onto the mounted sproket. :eek: I finally got it when I smarted up and put the chain around the sproket then bolted the sproket onto the shaft. :D It was my first time tearing off the top end of the 350X or any four stroke, it was not fun I ran into all sorts of problems. Mainly rusted bolts I will put it this way had to grind off 3 bolt heads, re-tap 2 holes, just to fix a small oil leak! A 15 minute job turned into 3 days.

thats why i gave up on the idea of fixing my trike myself..
