When I bought it back in February it was in sad shape. I started out just wanting a ridable trike but you know how it goes ;) . It was stripped down to the frame and built back up from there. At one point in its life it was run into something bending the front forks and the right foot peg. The forks were straightened in a press and the pegs were heated with a torch and bent back. The big problem was that the bottom of the engine case was broken where the pegs attach. It had been welded back and surprisingly it didn't leak any oil. We built a bracket that is attached to the upper motor mount for support and it seems to be working. Here is what I replaced on it:
Front Bearings
Rear Bearings
Air Filter
Grips
Front Brake Lever/Perch
Front Brake Cable
Break Shoes
Cobra Exhaust
Chain
Front Fender
Rear Fender
Rear Rack
3 Tires
Seat Cover
Its pretty much done. Maybe someday I will have the tank and the forks painted but thats about it. Runs great but starts pretty hard when the temp is below 50. It seems to have quite a habit for fouling plugs. The Cobra exhaust sounds good but its a little loud when wide open. It was an awesome project to burn away a little of the winter. I know it will be impossible to get even close to what I paid for parts but it was a good time bringing this little trike back to life.
