Can anyone help me identify the 3Wheeler frame I bought last weekend? I have looked at pictures of many ATVs, and the closest I can match it with is a Suzuki alt 125. The only identifying marks on the trike is a mudflap/sprocket protector with the word "PHOENIX" on it. The trike has no supension front or rear, and has been stripped all the way down. I will post a pic in the next couple of days. Thanks in advance for any help on this matter. :D

Will get them up later tonight. Lytle is about 25 miles southwest of San Antonio, just off of I-35.

You're the first person on this sight who's in my area. You know where Kerrville is right? I ride quite a bit near Floresville. Sorry to highjack your thread.

Here are some pics of this trike. There are a couple of things that intrigue me. First of all the sprocket is almost dead in the middle of the axle. Second the mounting plate is drilled out perfectly for a 5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine as you can see in the pictures. The mudflap/sprocket protector fell off but hung down to about 4 inches off the ground. The only sticker on the bike near the handle bars is too worn to read. For scale, my son is about 5-11, 195 sitting on the trike. Help me ! What have I got here?

I just stuck the 5 hp in there for scale. It may be a homemade, but every weld but one is a machine weld. There is a sticker near the handlebars, but it is too worn to read.

That is a 3 wheeler made by MTD. They made them for many places and was sold under many different names. Manco was one name.
Here is a couple pictures.

Howdy,

Looks like you nailed it. Boy would I love to get my hands on that plastic. I don't guess there would be any more info where those pics came from? Thanks for setting me straight.

Hi all

Newbie and a first time poster here.

I just bought a Sasquatch trike - made by Commuter Industries in 1983. It has a Kawasaki 340cc engine model KFT82DX. It looks identical to the pics shown in this thread except it has black plastic and a racks all around the seat and rather large foot plates.

The trike runs pretty well and my wife loves the fact there is no clutch. If anyone has any info about servicing of this trike or the Kawasaki engine I wold really appreciate it. A search of the web hasn't even been able to provide me with a spark plug number or the correct gap much less any other tune up info.

I will try and get a couple of pics up so that you can compare to the ones here already.

Thanks

Hal

I have the exact same bike same bike, black, racks all around ect. except the engine model number of my bike is KF.82D-X. I bought my bike about back in '84 used from a local ATV shop. I went back to them to get a belt for it but low and behold they don't supply them any more. When I asked if a could find out who the supplier was they said they don't know. When I asked about any technical info they said they tossed everything on this bike. Now I am stuck with a stationary bike (hopefully only temporarily). So if anyone has any tech info I would appreciate it too.

Holy CRAP!!! I'm not the only one with this stupid trike. I have the whole thing but the engine isnt running. Does yours have a little plate on the bottom that says Pheonix engineering, INC. Fremont, NE, 68025? Anyway here is my thread on my phoenix trike. http://3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=36383
