Greetings. I'm about to start a restoration of my Dad's somewhat stale 1984 Honda Big Red (200ES model). It's been sitting for a few years so I expect I will need a few parts along the way, but I'm having a tough time finding any dealers or resellers of parts.

Any ideas on where I might find some? I have a pretty good background in current ATV parts dealers but this older stuff is proving harder to find.

What sort of stuff are you looking for? After market goodies have dried up as of the past few years, but keeping an eye On the eBay monster might results in some good finds. Service parts are a little easier to find. Apart from that, there always seems to be people around that have spares tucked away, and the right amount of $$ may convince a sale! Good Luck!

I would be looking for stock parts. My main concern is bringing the thing back to life... I may look at putting it on steroids after it's stable, but stock parts would be my main concern.

I may be looking for a set of the front shock absorbers and a carburetor but I will have to dig into it before I will know for sure. It may be possible to just clean things up without buying anything at all.

Most Honda dealers will still be able get a majority of the parts, there are also several online dealers if you want to go that way. www.bikebandit.com and www.powersportspro.com have online partsmicrofiches which help make sure you are getting the right parts. I like getting gasket kits and aftermarket stuff from www.denniskirk.com but there are other places, check out the links page. Chances are you will be able to find used parts easy and a lot cheaper. The classifieds forum and ebay are a great way to find parts.

Check out servicehonda.com they have the best prices but you have to know the part number. Also ebay is going to be the best place to find the parts the cheapest.
