I have a question about my 86 atc350x main right crank case. I have to rebuild my crank because the bearing is bad in it. When I took apart the crank cases,I noticed that my right main crank case has two holes where the oil screen filter(small square filter) goes into place. There is one drain hole on the top of the oil screen filter and one below it. I know that the top oil drain hole is suppose to be there but I am not sure it the bottom one is suppose to be there. I say this because it looks like the hole wasn't cut evenly out and almost like a crack going out from the hole in the case. Can anyone tell me if that bottom oil drain hole is suppose to be under the oil screen filter in the right main crank case or did something/part/ foreign object break my case there. Any help or advice would be great. Also, would the honda dealer be able to tell me if that second(bottom) hole should be there as a design feature or who would be able to tell me if it is they way the right main crank case was made. I know my manual does say or show anything about it.
