I have an '86 250SX with no headlight, only the guard.. Is there any low cost way of putting a headlight on it, I am tight on money right now, but I might be goin camping this weekend, and would like a light to see.. any help would be great..
Thank you,
Patrick

Well I have a really nice headlight system but like you said they arent cheap and hard to find. But since the SX is battery powered, I think you should be able to find some low wattage light systems at an auto place and put in the place of it for the time being.

would hologen light kit fro dennis kirk ( 21-996) work? it has 2 hologen lights, a switch, and wires... would I be able to connect those in place of my origanal light.. like clamp em onto the forks between the triple trees?

Sure they should work fine. YOu just need to make sure the higher wattage the more they will draw on your system.

As long as it has straps to mount on the forks, it should work. Most likely it would work. If it bolts, you might have to fab it to work just right.

These are 35 watt (each) trapezoidal sealed beam, single filament lights from Autozone. I think they were about $15. These are the only thing Ive found that would stand up to normal abuse. They are mounted with a single bolt, upside down in this case. They put out pretty good light on my TriZ, but will probably work a lot better on the 350X electrical system.

would I have to drill holes into my top triple tree to put those on? And did they come with a switch?
