Since I am waiting for my wiring harness and other parts to arrive today I started thoroughly inspecting my 200x. I got totally bummed when I pulled the oil filled stator housing :(. Looks like that 200x engine that I won on Ebay will come in handy after it arrives.

What year 200x is this? '83-'85's are supposed to have oil behind the flywheel cover. I'm not sure about '86-87 200x's. 350x's on the other hand are not supposed to have oil back there.

I have a Japanese '85 200X. The weird part is the oil in the stator housing is nasty while the oil on the dip stick is CLEAN. I'm not too worried since I have another rebuildable engine on it's way from the US.

See many atc's over there in japan? Always wonder if they are popular over there.

I haven't seen many over here. Hopefully I will get my 250R soon. Everytime we try to pick it up the Japanese owner makes an excuse.

A typical 200x sells for $2k and a 250R's go in the $2500 range. ATV's can still be driven on the streets over here so many of them end up with tags, blinkers, chrome and weird paint jobs  .
