Crank bearings...ARRRRG

The crank was stuck inside the right hand case,and I put a nut on the threads and hit it with a hammer,and it came out,with the bearing stuck on the crankshaft.Now what? I put it in the freezer, no luck. Please help.

Youll ruin your bearing, but i use torches until its red and then hammer it out. Works everytime.

There is a tool for removing crank bearings (bearing splitter it's called). It's basically 2 pieces of steel with a tapered area to get behind the bearing, and 2 threaded rods that squeeze the 2 halves together to force the bearing off, it works great. I think I paid about $20 for mine. It's available at indusrtial supply and automotive tool supply stores. Or you might be able to take your crank to garage/machiine shop and have the bearing pulled cheap.
