200X with shifting problem

I just picked up an 85 that the owner said needed a clutch. After inspecting it, the transmission can be shifted into, what seems to be gear, but it can be rolled all over like its in nuetral.

Any Ideas???

what about the other gears?

if It wont shift down into 1st gear can you pull it up into 2nd? or any other gear?, if you are only missing one gear it may point to another problem,
possibly linkage or shift forks.

No working gears at all. Seems like the shifter isnt actually engaging the trans, even though it clicks.

Can you show me pics of the clutch assembly? I think that may be where my problem is. I got the bike to engage the gears with the cover off but when it is in gear you can still turn the tires without the engine turning.
I tore into the clutch and it seems as if the basket is broke.
Also, I don't know how to get the clutch off with that other shaft in front of it. Does it release and pull out from the other side?
