The Goki starter is the only one I know of. I had one on the 185S my wife used to have. They are pretty easy to install and work good.

do you know where i might find one? maybe a used one that works?
it might just be worth it. i dont want to have to stop what i am doing to start the 2 for her. if she could just push a button and be on her way it would be so much easier.

it seems that if a spacer was put in beyween the pull starter and the engine that the gear shifter would not fit correctly. ej, when you put he goki kit on did you have to modify anything? i am trying to find a place to get a cheaper or used one. doyou know where i can find one besides the spinreel website?

How about this.... why don't you see if you can find a 200E Big Red motor off an 82 or 83 bike. They are electric start, and are the basic same engine.

That is a good idea about the motor swap i would just be afraid to get a crap motor when buying one off of the bike. The motor i have now doesnt smoke and runs good now. But i know that doesnt help me with the starter problem. i will look into an electric start motor. it maybe be cheaper who knows but i doubt it. well i could sell the 200s motor and get my money back from buying a 200e motor. good idea.

I think.... but not 100% sure, but you'd probably only need the Left side case, and maybe the recoil cover/flywheel parts. The rest of the engine is the same.
