I got an atc 70 for sale/trade in the classified & a couple of members of this site have contact me about it; they ask how much I want or what im looking to trade for, they say they like the idea," I will trade you for this,I will give you that....ok lets do it tomorrow" ,I think I got a close deal & them.......Never hear from them again !.
Why Wasted our time ?, if you are not serious about it why would you make a commitment to me ?....I if you don't like what I ask just say sorry..thanks anyway..... :evil:

Amen to that. I would offer more stuff here myself, but 75% of the time the other person backs out ( even after a deal is made ). This is why I do most of my selling on Ebay. I List the stuff for 7 days. Everyone knows if they want it they must bid on it. ;)

Another option: If a deal was made and then the other person backs out then post some feedback for them. The will alert other people to the users that back out all the time. If people value their feedback they will not jerk you along. ;)

That seems to always happen to me when I list things in the paper. I will give someone directions one the phone and they say they will be there later that night and then they never show up. It seems to take 3 or 4 no-shows for every person that does come.

I had a seller on this site back out on me. He was advertising his 84 250R for sale. I wanted the bike really bad. I contacted him and he sent me a pretty detailed description. The next day, he sent me about 5 detailed pics. I loved the R. I told him I would take it. I needed the bike shipped though. I made arrangments with ForwardAir for a prepaid crate. I then offered the seller $50 more to take it to the terminal and drop it off. Can't get much simpler than that. After I made arrangment with ForwardAir, he never emailed me back

I have buyers back out all of the time when I try to sell stuff locally. That is why I usually just use ebay. I have only had 1 buyer back out on me through ebay...

I sell LOTS and LOTS of parts. I offered my TRX250R parts on here first. I probably prapared 50 quotes and sent at least 30 photos. I sold one item. Too many window shoppers here!

I sell my stuff on ebay. People complain about ebay deals gone bad, but my percentages on ebay are much better than on any message board, and I only have to prepare an ad once!

Right on TIM. Ebay is much easier when it comes to selling items. Ebay has made it clear that you bid to buy...

Just leave them bad feedback in the feedback forums..

If someone backs out of a deal with me, and never lets me know a reason why or even bother to tell me they changed their mind.. I leave em bad feedback.. thats what its there for!

this site bites at selling/buying ever since they changed the whole board for some apparent reason.., i used to be able to sell off a lot in like 2 days., now its like just dissapearing from people putting there crap up again and again... ,, owell.. looks like i will go over to .org for selling.

Yeah, the old system worked extremely well for the guys who liked to HOG the entire front page or run a business on it. It was only the courteous people who got screwed.
