Will any other swingarm swap into a 350X?

From what I read their is no other one that will work. I have been debating on going to a welding shop and see if they would extend the one I have. Im just not sure yet of the durability I could expect after it was welded. You would think that one of these bigger aftermarket companies would make one I bet they would make pretty good money off of it.

250x 300ex swingers will fit the 86 X, but thay wont fit the 85. they are shorter, but they fit.

Are you 100% positive has anyone else ever done this? I have an 86 and would love to put something a little longer on the back of it. Can anyone confirm? Not doubting you just want to know if anyone else has done this thats all. Any mods needed to make the 300ex fit? Also I cant find anywhere that has extended 300ex swingarms.

I wonder why they would fit a 86 and not an 85. :?

I thought the swingers are interchangeable between the 85 and 86 350X's.

As far as I know the only difference between the 85 and 86 swingarms is how the brake caliper mounted. I am 99% positive this is the only difference.
