I have not done it. I think they are they same other than profile. Maybe someone knows for sure.

well someone on here put a 200x cam in there 200s and they said they seen a big difference.... it was noticable so I would say it would be worth it.
while your doing it why dont you get a 200 cylinder and piston and turn that into a 200 ?? 8)

I don't want to really mess with that right now. The engine was just all rebuilt, by the previous owner, about a year ago and has MAYBE 30 hours on it. It pretty much runs like new, I just want to pep it up a bit.

you'll pull your hand soooo bad... it hurts... i am so paranoid from having that thing snap back on me, i clear the chamber out 9 times before i pull it again, even tehn it still snaps back on me sometimes.... OUCH

You guys are smoking Cocoa Puffs or something. What the heck does a cam swap have to do with how hard it's going to be to pull start? A cam swap has absolutely nothing to do with compression ratio. Besides, I have a compression release which works quit well.

I think he means peppign it up with a high comp. piston. Also, a higher duration cam pulls in more air, so it seems as if it has a bit more resistance to pull it over.

OK. I'll try this again. Has anyone ACTUALLY swapped a 200x cam into a 185s? I'm not looking for theories about cranking compression, just ACTUAL experiences.

Here is the link to when this was asked last time, MountainRider has done this. http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=13666&highlight=200x

The cam does not up the compresion so it would not make it harder to start as long as the valve clearence was correct and the timimg is right. I have had a 200s with a 12:1 compresion piston and was able to start it fine.

Thank you for the link. That was VERY helpful.
