throttle problem?? especialy 4&5 gear?????

I finaly put my 225dx back together and it dont perform as good as it used to?? it seems like it runs out of gas or something, 4th feels like 5th used to be, even worse it dont gain speed at all:(?? 5th boggs down. and if i full throttle in 3 and then need to stop it just stalls on me:( I cleaned the carb perfectly. my gas level in there is right before flowing out.

I dont know about my pilot screw though, is the needle suposed to be sticking out any in the carb? cause if i set it by the manual settings it dont even show a millemeter? would getting a bigger jet help?? and my needle is on the secong notch like the book says, do you think it would help raising it up all the way?

Or could it be something else?? my compression seems to be good!

i think i know your problem check out your petcock! mine had a bad o ring in it, and would suck air in when i got into higher revs and gears and would stall on me. cause it was a air leak. try running it on reserve or on or get a new petcock ,and or replace the oring inside :shock:
