I need someone that has a parts manual for a 1984 atc250r to look up the honda carb part number. I ordered one from my local honda dealer and picked it up today. It does not look like the correct carb. it looks awefully small. the honda part number on the package states 16100-965-024. could somone that has a 1984 parts manual please look to see if this is the correct carb. I am very new to atc's so i could be wrong. Thank you for your time in advance.

I don't have a part manual, but you can check out BikeBandit.com under OEM parts. Enter your year, make, and model. It will show you a diagram of the carb. If you can't find anyone with a manual, this might help you out.

That part number is for a 200x. The 965 in it gives it away, the 83-84 250r should be 964. It could have been a typo on the dealers part when he ordered the carb since the numbers are so close. You can confirm this by looking at where the carb meets the intake. If this carb has a flange for a couple of bolts to hold it in then you have a 200x carb. (The 250r carbs have boots with bandclamps on the intake.)
