The 200x, and the 350x, if you want even more power, and the Honda lineup has 200's and 250's galore, as far as utilities go. Check out www.3wheelerworld.com (the site that birthed these forums) in the specifications section and they'll have specs for about every trike ever made, and make your selection from there. The 250sx is like a Honda 225 DX/DR, plus more power. It's a sport/utility cross over too. I've ridden one of those and they're really nice, and the suspension is plusher than the Yamaha. You'd really like that if you like your DR. But I'm not too familiar with the other brands. Hope that was of some help.

Don't forget the Honda 250SX. It is one of the best sport/utility atc ever made. They can take a helluva beatin' and keep on truckin' The 1987's are the best.

Actually I have the 3wheeling magazine that tested the 225dx and 250sx and the dx is faster on top and has just as good low end/mid range. This is due mainly to it weighing less.

Magazine testing aside, I would say the 250sx and 225dx are about even top speed wise. I have owned the 250sx, and my best freind growing up had a number of 225's so I have plenty of seat time on both.

I was glad I had a 250sx when I rode my friend's 225dx

y so? i prefer the dr dx's cause they are lighter, and I, only my opinion, think that they have better suspension..... the rear shock is mounted at an angle, and the front shocks have a lot of travel....

Ill second that! Id add the 250es as well. Im not sure how "better" always turns into top highway speed, but according to MY definition of "better", speaking as an anti-Honda pro-Yamaha guy, Id pick this Honda as being a much better machine over its Yamaha counterpart.

ummm, at the first of this thread you didn't even know of other 200-250cc 3-wheelers, and now you prefer the yamaha over the honda? You did some pretty fast testing in my opinion :)

While we're sorta on the topic... I raced my friend on his 225dx with my 200es Big Red. Anyway I beat him (i was kinda suprised) His bike doesn't have full compression (smokes) Normally would a 225dx take a 200es or even a 250es big red for that matter? It still has enough compression to pull a wheelie but doesn't seem to have a whole lotta torque compared to any big red I've driven.

Otherwise yeah, I love how nice and light the 225dx's are and I think that they have better suspension than a 250 big red. I will probably be buying my friends 225dx soon! We just haven't arranged anything for sure yet. Can't wait if he sells it to me for the price he mentioned before...
