Welp title says it all. My 350X smokes when its cold and if its been sitting for a few days. After it's warmed up, it doesnt smoke at all. And if you try to start it later in the same day it will not smoke. HOWEVER, If I let it sit for more than a day or two it smokes for a good minute until it is warm...

Anybody know what my problem is?

sounds like valve seals.

I have the same problem with one of my big reds and only occasionally. Sometimes will be fine for a week. Then I'll ride it hard one day and the next it will smoke for about 1 minute then It'll be fine once the oil is burnt out. 99% sure it is the valve seals. Has good compression so I'm not really worried about it.

Smoke for me. I'm sure he could tell if its smoke and not steam/moisture. If its the same thing then every engine i own needs a valve job.

Well, I beleive it's definately smoke... so valve seals are my problems?

My 350X smokes a little bit when it was extremely cold. Otherwise it runs fine.

If it smoked and continued to smoke then it might be the valve seals. If its after it warms up then its the rings.
Heres what happens, When its cold oil goes between the piston/rings and jug getting burnt in the combustion chamber and leaving the blue smoke. ONCE it warms up the piston expands making a tighter fit onto the jug sealing it off not letting any more oil enter the combustion chamber.

As far as i know it is not possible to have valveseals leak then stop after it warms up.

my 200x does the same thing, i pulled the motor out and put new rings becuase i fifgured they had to be changed from 22 years of use and got her back togather and it does the same thing, sits for a few days, starts up and smokes till about a minute or untill it warms up and once its warm it doesnt smoke at all? so would it be the valve seals

sounds like valve seals. Wait until you do a piston and take it apart......you can live with it
