can anyone help me here i just bought a 83 yamaha 175 tri moto and the intake has three out of foure bolts broken so its sucking air and wont start how can i fix this at home without spending all kinds of money any help would be great :? :?:
OK I AM GOING TO DO THAT BUT WOULD THIS PROBLEM ALSO KEEP THE BIKE FROM RUNNING IT TURNS OVER REALLY GOOD BUT WONT START IF YOU JACK IT UP ON BLOCKS ITS STARTS BUT AS SONN AS YOU PUT IT DOWN AND TRY AND GO IT BOGS DOWN AND STALLS HELP HELP

well, iv never messed with a tri-moto, but if you mean the bolts are broken off and you cant get them out, you need to get some bolt-out's or easy-outs and get them out, then re-seal it and put new bolts in it. i figure that would be the best thing to do.???????

welcome to the board! Are the bolts broken off flush? Sounds like your going to have to drill them out and rethread the holes.

They sell cheap kits for taking broken bolts out and rethreading if necessary at Princess auto.(Im talking about like 15$)

Yeah Princess Auto is the best company I've delt with. So many great tools and parts for so damn cheap.

princess auto is where i buy all my tools they have a nice cylinder honing tool that attaches to a drill i wanna pick up,it only $15 not a bad price.I know a guy that has one and he says it works great.
