My 200s runs and starts great but when getting on the gas it slightly pops and has a hard tme getting up to rev. i have cleaned the plug and no change i have open and closed the air fuel screw, which i assume is the one next to the float bowl facing down, but when i open it up it gets worse and when i have damn near closed very close to closed it gets better but not good enough. i need some ideas.

sounds like you need to take the carb out and clean it. Probably has dirt in it. That my opinion anyway (from past experience)

i should have mentioned that also. the day i got it i tore the carb down and cleaned it really well. it was clean to beginw ith so there was no change there.

i have a 200s and ihade the same problem and my frend leaned the carb and put a fuel filteron the gas line! if that downt work you need to ajust the rich lean screw i think it the won your talking obout and the air screw is the one on the side next to a hose. i might be able to get a pic for you tonight becouse im in school!

i just went on dennis kirk and ordered a rebuild kit for the carb so hopefully that takes care of it.

Another suggestion is change or at least clean the air filter. I know this sounds to easy to be true but can make a big difference sometimes. You can also try running it without the airfilter to see if it makes any changes. If it does you know what you need to do (Change Air Filter).
Good Luck and keep us posted!

Kdagenais's suggestion sounds right to me too, seems like your not getting enough air in your mix. Try running it without the airfilter(dont go in dirt though). And if that doesnt work.....make sure your exhaust pipe isnt clogged.

THE idleing problem ended up being valves et way to tight. also when riding now it no longer pops and sputters since i adjusted the valves.
