Im new to the three wheel world, and just got a 85 200 x in pretty good shape, except for the rear axle has some play in it there is a nut on the right side of the axle which looks like it can be tigtned or loosened ,what is this there for exactly and ho0w do u adjust it ? i tried for a minute and i cant get it to move an inch. its extremely tight, is there a trick to move this or normally that hard to move.

thanks for any help.

What kind of play are we talking about here? Up and down play, or side-to-side? If it's up and down, your bearings are shot amigo. If it's side-to-side, I dunno what to tell you.

I just did this to my 110. Yes the nuts on the axle need to be tightened. Just take some vice grips and turn it to the and tighten it down snug. You also might want to put some kind of anti-seize lube on the threads so they won't rust together again. ;)

if u grab the grab bar and rock the rear end it has side to side play, i guess u could say, basically the axle has movement inside the swingarm, seems like more on the brake side, it probably is bearings i'm just wandering what the two nuts on the brake side of the axle are for? they must be there for a reason.

Your bearings may be shot, but tighten the nuts on the axle first, if that don't work then replace bearings ;) .
