I took the boys little 70 and the wrecker out on the Ice Saturday. I wasn't out too long before I noticed some cracking in the ice. I am guessing today it will be safe enough to ride on. I checked it saturday and it was about 3 1/2 to 4" thick. I hope it is about 5" now.
I will find out after the boys get home from school. arrumma zoom zoom. lmao

Yes! Frozen lakes and ponds are the best for riding. I went out about a week and half ago on a huge pond (about 2-4 acres). It wasn't as fun as it was last year. Last year it was like glass with some snow around the edges that we'd use to get traction, then go flying down the middle of the lake in 5th turn and turn sideways... we'd end up doing doughnuts for about 1/2 the lake. This year it must have froze, then cracked and water came up and froze again so it was rough ice. Plus there was a lot more snow on it and my cousin hit a 20 foot patch of slush which was scary.

snowed like mad here then froze. left the ice a little rough. frozes slush. still fun.
You guys are sooo lucky! I lived in Vermont for a year (right on Lake Champlain) and got to drive on the ice in my Jeep all the time. I never knew it would be so fun! I sure miss it....
