250R Compatability

I am wondering what is compatible between the 81-84 250R's
for example will a pipe off a 83 fit on an 82 or will the suspension off an 84 fit an 82 without major modifications?

Billy Bob,

Their are many threads outling what is what on the aircooled machines.

I will give you a quick break down.

81-82 fully interchangeable.
83-84 fully interchanchable. - Suspension is a little different. ie needle bearings on swing arm. You need to check the partsfish.

The only thing you can use off of an 81-82 and bolt right up to the 83-84 is the motor. I believe you may be able to mate up the 83-84 front forks to an 81-82. You may have to ask some of the other guys.

Ps. A pipe off of an 83-84 will definatley NOT fit an 81-82.
