Aa As stated in a previous post, it's an 84 tecate, big bored to 300, 38mm keihin carb, v force reeds, pro circuit silencer, open element air filter. Was having some issues with hard starting and top end not really having much power. Put a thread up about rejeting. Checked the jets and there's a 160 main and a 60 pilot, 3rd clip on the needle. She seems to be running super rich though. Well after having some issues with fuel pissing out of the carb I cleaned the seat which didn't help I'm guessing maybe the o ring but I can't get the seat out for nothing... Also found the hard starting was due to a clogged pilot. Cleared the pilot and cleared the seat again and boom she fires up right away and no more gas leaking. Ok but now she won't idle for trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. Idle screw moves the slide but doesn't change the idle.. can only adjust it from the screw buy the twist throttle which I tried just setting that up for Freeplay and recleaning the carb for a 3rd time and checking for air leaks with still no luck. Last night I tried again now it wouldn't start.. here we go, carb back off again and clogged pilot wtf... Put it all back together and it still won't start for trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro... So now it won't start, the top end power isn't rectified, still leaks a little gas out of the carb when it's off, and probably still won't idle on its own. I'm physically and mentally done. Allot of time and money went into this bike and I'm regretting it all right now.. any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated..

All that carb / float valve sticking open has possibly filled the crank cavity with fuel making it near impossible to start .
Is the spark plug real wet ? Only way to remove all that fuel is either bump start it and force the fuel out the exhaust or flip the machine over , remove the spark plug and that will dump the fuel while kicking the motor over .
If the carb jets keep clogging then that’s an issue , need an inline filter or new petcock that has the strainer built into it .

Really appreciate the info. Going to flip her around tomorrow at some point and I'll report back. Thanks again.

A 60 pilot is pretty big. That could be a big contributing factor to your idle issues. I would try a 52 or 55 pilot. The jetting guide on this site is very helpful as well.

Check your stator out. Ignition problems are often mistaken for jetting issues.
