Ok so I purchased this 84 tecate and I am slowly trying to correct things that are wrong with it. I'm currently trying to solve a side to side wobble or sway it has. If you sit on it or just grab the side of the bars and move it side to side it has allot of flex before it will lift the rear tire of the ground. I don't want to start just throwing parts at it like swinger bushings or carrier bearings. It does have an extended swingarm that's pretty long from previous owner and I nor anyone else seems to know the brand. Could of be from that? Any help would be appreciate.

Also forgot to mention it does have pretty tall tires on it. Would that cause the body roll?

Put it on a jack crate or dirtbike stand with the rear wheels off the ground. Lift up on one of the wheels and see if you can locate the worn part. Sounds like carrier bearings or swinger bushings to me.

If you rock it side to side while looking at the swingarm and axle bearings, you can usually tell what's bad. The hubs could also be loose and cause a little bit of movement with a clunking sound.

My 350X was like that and it had worn out steering stem bearings.
