I have a 1986 Honda 350x, that I could use some help with finding out why its smoking so bad. I am not really familiar with these machines, it was given to me from a friend that owned it and recently passed away. I have a short video to show you the smoking. Any help would be appreciated.

It's nearly 40 years old and needs a rebuild, while in there freshening up valve seats and seals and everything else wrong. Say good bottom end is tired by now too since no one has the nuts to split a case. $1500 rebuild. Do it yourself and enjoy another 40 years.

That looks to me like something is burning near the rear master cylinder/brake line/exhaust/etc.
I would first remove that exhaust wrap and get a good look in that area and see what's actually burning/smoking/melting.
The motor sounds like it's running fine.... just look in that area and see what's happening.
Good luck

Does it smoke out the end of the muffler if you blip the throttle or only on the side?

based solely on your video, it seems to be running ruff, I bet you have oil/unburned fuel in your exhaust and as the exhaust heats up its burning it off and causing smoke
Option 2 is you are leaking something onto the exhaust, I have a plastic tank dripping fuel in that same spot and it smokes. the header wrap hold liquids and as they get hot they burn off, you need to fix this asap especially if its fuel.
