86 250r axle/sprocket hub compatible in 85 Swingarm

I know there’s posts out there bout this subject. I looked into quite a few but none answered my question. I was wondering when they say if it’s a 85 Swingarm the rest has to be 85 for it all to work. So my question the 86 axle does work but does the sprocket hubs have to be swapped as well?

So my question the 86 axle does work but does the sprocket hubs have to be swapped as well?No. It's as simple as using the entire 1986+ axle, sprocket hub, sprocket, and sprocket mounting nuts & bolts.
